The BIS Irving Fisher Committee on Central Bank Statistics (IFC ) is organising recurrent workshops on “Data science in central banking” with a broad audience of practitioners and technicians to review the ongoing adoption of data analytics and business intelligence techniques and developments in the big data ecosystem. The main objective is to showcase projects and share experience that can help to develop in-house knowledge and reduce the reliance on external services providers.
The 2021 workshop, co-organised with the Bank of Italy (BoI ), will bring together central banks, international organisations, national statistical offices and other interested stakeholders. It will be a virtual event hosted by the Bank of Italy and will take place on 19-22 October 2021.
